Dear Friends of St. Mary’s Parish,
We are currently entering into the first stages of our Capital Campaign to address the ongoing task of preserving and repairing our parish property. Ever since the founding of the Parish, the goodness and generosity of so many have helped to raise up a beautiful church to worship in, a school to educate many generations of children and to continue to care for these precious treasures for many generations to come.
It is becoming more and more vital to address the issues that affect the integrity of the Parish Church of St. Mary’s which include the repair and tuckpointing of the bell tower and the concrete work that needs to be replaced for the safety of our parishioners. We also are looking to repair the retaining wall of the parking lot/playground across from the school that is failing as well as building a wall to support the north side of the rectory grounds. We will also need to replace the boiler in the Church and several other items which will also be funded from this Capital Campaign.
We are looking to seek pledges for this Campaign in January and February of 2020 and are going to ask for a three year long commitment above and beyond the regular donations that come from the Sunday collection. Our parishioners are very generous but we are also looking to our extended family beyond our parish boundaries to help us as well. If you would like to make a pledge of support, please contact us, either by email, letter or phone call to our Parish Office. We would be grateful for your help.
Our parish has a long and fruitful heritage that has been shared with many generations of faithful friends and parishioners. May God bless you all for your continued support and be assured of our prayers for you.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Father Paul M. Hartley
On behalf of the Capital Campaign Team, I would like to take this moment to thank each and every one of you for the support that has been given toward the Capital Campaign. As the campaign continues, pledge commitments are being made, donations are being given, work being done, ideas, a kind word, no matter how large or small, it brings tears to my eyes in amazement of the generosity being given either in time, talents, or treasures. Just look around and see the projects that have been accomplished because of YOU. The church tuckpointing is scheduled for this spring, the parking lot wall is in the works.
The parishioners of St. Mary’s Parish have sacrificed over generations and still are today in order to provide for the future, serve the present, and honor the past. St. Mary Church and St. Mary School are blessed to have the support of all of YOU. This is truly shown since the Capital Campaign started in November of 2019.
This is the last year for the capital campaign, it is not too late to make a pledge for the year or a donation towards the capital campaign. There are pledge cards and envelopes on the table at the back of the church.
Again, thank you, I wish all of you good health and many blessings to you and your family.
